About FIER Automotive & mobility

FIER Automotive & Mobility (since 1995) is a specialised consulting and business development company, active in the dynamic international market of mobility & logistics, focussing on sustainability and innovation. FIER initiates, develops and manages projects which have a strong impact in making mobility and logistics more sustainable. For customers and stakeholders in our network, FIER is seen as an ambitious team of experts who do their work based on the (scientific) knowledge and experience.

FIER consists of a team of 7 dedicated employees and a pool of external experts (both freelance as well as strategic alliances with other organisations). The core of the company exists of 4 senior experts/consultants, 2 junior/medior experts and an office manager. Although we are growing, we don’t have the ambition to grow significantly. Our aim is to stay a dynamic, compact team with a ‘flat management hierarchy’.

 


We are looking for

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who wants to work with us on sustainable mobility and recognizes herself/himself in the following profile:
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a connector, team player and networker;
  • Together with other senior experts, becoming ‘the face’ of our company;
  • A completed Bachelor or Master degree with multiple years of work experience (not necessarily in the automotive / mobility sector). The activities can be linked to different study backgrounds, such as
  • Business studies like (Technical) Business Administration, International Business Administration, Commercial Economics, Public Administration, Logistics,;
  • And/or other studies like Planology, Communication and Information Sciences, Environmental Sciences;
  • Capable of participating in projects in terms of content (expert role) as well as managerial;
  • Experience in project management and business development;
  • Affinity with sustainability & mobility;
  • Fluent in (both) written and spoken English. Being fluent in Dutch and German language is an advantage;
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn. You can also work independently and you are willing to travel within Europe on a regular basis.

  • Making heavy transport / logistics more sustainable: from formulating the ambition to initiating a project to finally realizing and implementing projects;
  • Mapping out all developments around alternative fuel vehicles in Europe;
  • Innovative charging infrastructure projects (smart grid, ultra-fast charging);
  • Analysing (the effect of) policy on the growth of e-mobility; feasibility studies into the sustainability of all kinds of vehicles.

 If you are searching for a job with is purely focused on commerce or on the other hand requires a real (automotive) engineering background, the job will likely not suit you.
